Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing the Sublo Chrome extension or using subloapp.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Hannes Heißmeyer, Ibykusweg 6f, 30629 Hannover, Germany ("we", "us").

2. Description of the Service

Sublo is a browser extension that overlays two subtitle tracks simultaneously on video content from supported streaming platforms. Subtitles are sourced from the streaming service you are already subscribed to and may be translated in real time using a third-party translation API. Sublo does not provide, host, or distribute any video or subtitle content itself.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Free and Pro Plans

Sublo offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro subscription. Features included in each plan are described on the pricing page at subloapp.com/#pricing and may be updated from time to time.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe.
  • A 7-day free trial is available for new Pro subscribers. Your card is not charged until the trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
  • Prices are shown in EUR and include applicable VAT where required by law.
  • We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Refunds

Due to the nature of digital services, we generally do not offer refunds after a billing period has started. If you were charged in error or experience a technical problem that we cannot resolve, contact us at info@trackable.pro within 14 days of the charge and we will review your case. Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services not yet used; by accessing Pro features you acknowledge that the service has begun and the withdrawal right lapses.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension beyond what is permitted by law
  • Circumvent, bypass, or disable any feature limitation or subscription check
  • Share, sell, or transfer your account or subscription to others
  • Use the Service to infringe the intellectual property rights of streaming services or content owners

8. Intellectual Property

All code, design, branding, and content of the Sublo extension and website are owned by Hannes Heißmeyer and protected by copyright law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to that intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as intended.

Subtitle content displayed through the extension is owned by the respective streaming services and content creators. Sublo merely renders it in a different visual format for your personal viewing.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every streaming platform or browser version. Streaming services may change their technical implementation at any time, which could temporarily or permanently affect subtitle detection.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Third-Party Services

Sublo integrates with third-party services (Stripe, Supabase, MyMemory). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.

12. Modifications to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. For material changes affecting Pro subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice by email. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the changes.

13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Pro plan ends immediately; the Free plan remains available without an account.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Hannover, Germany, to the extent permitted by law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated to participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings but are willing to seek an amicable solution.
